President Bola Tinubu announced an immediate federal-state initiative to reduce domestic transport costs by expanding the use of compressed natural gas (CNG) and electric vehicles. He stated that state governors have resolved to adopt measures to bring fuel savings closer to Nigerians. The Federal Government has already converted over 120,000 vehicles under the Presidential CNG Initiative and is preparing more than 100,000 additional conversion kits. Tinubu also mentioned ongoing investments in conversion centres and refuelling infrastructure nationwide.
