Danny Welbeck scored his first goal for Chelsea as the team defeated third-tier Luton 2-0 at Stamford Bridge to advance to the League Cup third round. After a goalless first half, Welbeck headed in a cross from Malo Gusto to break the deadlock, and an own goal by Hakeem Odoffin sealed the win. Chelsea will now face Leeds at home in the next round.
