American athlete Masai Russell broke the women's 100m hurdles world record at the Zurich Diamond League meeting, finishing in 12.09 seconds. The previous record of 12.12 seconds was held by Nigeria's Tobi Amusan, who finished second in the race with a season's best of 12.23 seconds. Nadine Visser of the Netherlands took third place with 12.34 seconds.
