The Federal Government and state governors have agreed to jointly use cheaper Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and electric vehicles to reduce intra-state transport fares starting from October 1. President Bola Tinubu announced this after a meeting with APC governors, also directing the rollout of an additional 500 CNG refuelling stations, bringing the total to 1,000. A joint committee will be set up to implement these measures immediately.
