North killings: Reps caucus demands $5bn intervention, military offensive

The Minority Caucus of the House of Representatives has called on President Bola Tinubu to allocate $5 billion from Nigeria's external reserves for an emergency security intervention. This request is in response to the escalating killings, terrorism, banditry, and mass abductions in Northern Nigeria. The lawmakers described the scale of attacks as intolerable and also urged a military offensive.
