Govt moves to cut fish imports, boost production

The Federal Government has inaugurated a 17-member Technical Committee on Accelerating Fish Production in Nigeria to address the country's fish production deficit and reduce dependence on imports. The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, inaugurated the committee at an event in Abuja on Thursday, with a focus on challenges across the aquaculture value chain.
