Double trouble for the dead: 16 months after death, Abia widower still can’t bury wife

Mr Elijah Ndubuisi Amah has been unable to bury his wife, Mrs Nkechi Florence Elijah, who died on April 9, 2025, at the age of 32. Her remains have been in a mortuary for over 16 months. Police say there is no evidence he killed her and no marks of violence on the corpse, but a monarch insists on an autopsy to establish the cause of death.
