Organised Labour and Civil Society Organisations have accused the Federal Government and petroleum industry operators of contributing to hardship through successive increases in petroleum product prices. They also accused the government of failing in its regulatory oversight. The Independent Petroleum Marketers of Nigeria attributed the latest increase to repeated price adjustments by the Dangote Refinery.
