The Kogi Value Chain Development Programme has empowered 3,256 women in the Rice and Cassava Value Chains through access to inputs, productive assets, and market linkages. State Project Coordinator Stella Adejoh disclosed this during the 2026 International Day of Women Farmers celebration in Lokoja. She described women farmers as the backbone of food security and rural prosperity. The event, themed 'Celebrating Women Farmers: Driving Food Security, Inclusive Agri-food Systems and Rural Prosperity,' brought together women entrepreneurs, producers, processors, and marketers of rice.
