Otti assures deceased pensioners’ families as Abia begins N60bn gratuity payments

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has assured the next-of-kin of deceased pensioners that their benefits will be paid as the state begins clearing over N60 billion in outstanding gratuity liabilities. He gave this assurance during his monthly media chat, noting that payments for retirees from 2001 to 2010 have been completed. The government will now focus on retirees from 2011 onwards.
