The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has launched a nationwide training programme for its counsellors to standardize operational protocols and strengthen clinical competencies in drug demand reduction. The training, which began at the NDLEA Academy in Jos, Plateau State, is coordinated by the Directorate of Counselling, Treatment and Rehabilitation (DCTR) and involves over 100 counsellors. This initiative is the first of its kind in several years and aims to entrench global best practices.
