BUTEC, in partnership with Kanadevia Inova, has been awarded a major Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the Casablanca Waste-to-Energy project. The project is part of a 33.5-year concession agreement with the Municipality of Casablanca, held by a consortium of Nareva, Kanadevia Inova, and Itochu Corporation. The facility, located northwest of the Mediouna landfill in the Casablanca-Settat region, will process approximately 1.5 million tonnes of non-recyclable waste annually, reducing reliance on landfill. This initiative is one of Morocco's most significant waste management and energy recovery developments.
