Foreign contractors complicit in Darfur massacres, Financial Times investigation reveals

A Financial Times investigation has revealed that foreign mercenaries, including about 2,000 Colombians, supported paramilitary operations during the Darfur conflict in Sudan. The contractors, recruited through an Abu Dhabi-based firm, provided technical support for the Rapid Support Forces during the siege of El Fasher. The UN has warned that acts during the siege amounted to genocide. International human rights groups are calling for accountability.
