The Nigeria Customs Service, Kano/Jigawa Area Command, intercepted a consignment of endangered wildlife, including chimpanzees, baby gorillas, and caracal wild cats, along the Kano/Daura Road. Three suspects were arrested in connection with the seizure. The operation, conducted under Section 55(1)(i) of the NCS Act 2023 and CITES, followed credible intelligence. Acting Deputy Comptroller Muhammad Zanna stated that officers resisted bribery attempts, disrupting the trafficking supply chain.
