Security forces in Sokoto State neutralized an unspecified number of suspected bandits and recovered cattle during an ambush operation in Rabah Local Government Area. The operation, conducted at about 5am on Friday, involved military personnel, police units, and local vigilantes. The ambush was set at Gadan Maikujera after intelligence indicated the bandits had rustled cattle from Dange Shuni and Tureta areas. Firearms and cattle were recovered during the encounter.
