Pavati Plastics Southern Africa has grown from a service business into a fully-fledged manufacturing enterprise, now 100% black-owned and managed, with 51% black women ownership. The company's expansion was supported by the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition through the Black Industrialists Scheme, which approved a R50 million matching grant in March 2021. Between 2015 and 2021, Pavati transitioned into manufacturing, focusing on building local capacity and replacing imported products. The company now has capabilities in extrusion, printing, and specialised packaging.
