World’s youngest reigning monarch dies in Uganda aged 34

King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the traditional ruler of Uganda's Tooro Kingdom, has died at the age of 34. He became the world's youngest reigning monarch at the age of three in 1995 following the death of his father. His death was announced by Tooro Kingdom Prime Minister Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki on Friday. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed, but local media reported that the king had been critically ill and had travelled to the United States for medical treatment.
