On 26 August 2026, H.E. Ambassador Zhou Ding hosted the awarding ceremony for the 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship and China-Zimbabwe Friendship Scholarship. The event was attended by Zimbabwe's Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Honourable Ambassador Dr. Frederick Shava, along with over 100 guests including education sector representatives and scholarship recipients.
