The Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, has identified lack of unity among traditional rulers and Yoruba leaders as a major challenge slowing the progress of the Yoruba nation. Adams called for renewed commitment to unity, dialogue, and collaboration among Yoruba leaders, warning that personal rivalries and divisions could weaken the collective strength of the people. He spoke at the Oodua Progressive Union (OPU) USA Afro Fusion Festival, OAFest 2026, themed 'Celebrating Our Heritage, Strengthening Our Unity, Shaping Our Future,' held in Indianapolis, United States. Adams urged Yoruba leaders and OPU members to set aside differences and embrace dialogue, mutual respect, and cooperation in advancing the interests of the Yoruba people.
