The Nigerian Navy has inaugurated three solar-powered boreholes in three communities in Gombe Local Government Area of Gombe State as part of its civil-military cooperation efforts. The project, implemented under the Chief of Naval Staff Special Intervention Quick Impact Project, aims to address the acute water shortage in the area. Each borehole is equipped with a 10,000-litre overhead water tank and perimeter fencing, according to the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, who was represented by Rear Admiral Mohammed Dahiru.
