Indigenous residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), through the Abuja Original Inhabitants Youths Empowerment Organisation (AOIYEO), have accused Amnesty International of selective outrage over its intervention in a political dispute in Kuje Area Council. The group questioned why the global rights body remained silent on demolitions, displacement, and marginalisation affecting original inhabitants. The accusation was made at a news conference in Abuja, responding to Amnesty's reaction to a viral video of Kuje Council Chairman Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo making threatening political remarks.
