The mother of Olympic triathlon champion Gwen Jorgensen has revealed that she never raised her daughter to become an Olympic athlete. Instead, she focused on raising a happy, well-rounded child who could handle failure. Jorgensen excelled in swimming as a child and later became a CPA before being recruited by USA Triathlon. Seven years after taking up triathlon, she won an Olympic gold medal.
