Lagos pensioner Michael Olawale Odesanya, who retired after 30 years in local government service, has expressed frustration over the delay in receiving his retirement benefits. He described bureaucratic delays surrounding his gratuity and pension, and the difficulty of meeting basic needs without a regular income. Odesanya also highlighted the plight of other retirees, some of whom have died while waiting for their entitlements.
