Airtel Africa doubles Nigeria investment, earmarks $1.1bn for expansion

Airtel Africa has announced plans to significantly increase its capital investment in Nigeria as part of a $1.1 billion programme across its operations. The investment will target network expansion, data capacity, fibre infrastructure, spectrum, and emerging technologies. Group CEO Sunil Taldar said Nigeria remains one of the company's most important markets, with capital investment in the country having almost doubled.
