A joint patrol comprising police personnel and other security agencies intercepted two vehicles during a stop-and-search operation at a checkpoint in Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State in the early hours of Friday, August 28. Nine suspects were arrested in connection with the interception. The operation led to the recovery of AK-47 rifles and other items. The suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue.
