Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State has ordered the arrest of the Managing Director of Hartland Nigeria Limited over the N14 billion Benin-Onitsha Road project. Umahi stated that Hartland was paid up to N14 billion and had agreed to use the funds to complete 11 kilometres from Summit Junction to a bridge, including channelisation and hydraulic structures. The arrest order follows an alleged failure to fulfill contractual obligations.
