Troops of the Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, killed two terrorists and recovered two AK-47 rifles and three motorcycles during an operation in Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State. The operation was based on credible intelligence about terrorists conveying rustled cattle through the Maikujera area. The troops encountered an ambush but responded with superior firepower, killing two terrorists and forcing others to flee. Subsequent exploitation of the area led to the recovery of the weapons and motorcycles.
