The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused President Bola Tinubu of responding to the 2027 election rather than Nigerians' suffering. The party dismissed the Federal Government's renewed push to expand Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) transportation as a political gimmick coming three years too late. In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC said the emergency meeting between Tinubu and state governors on reducing transportation costs was more a reaction to political pressure than genuine concern. The party noted that Nigerians have spent three years battling soaring transport fares and food prices.
