NNPCL Has Kept Us in the Dark on Refinery Rehabilitation, Revival, Says Ugochinyere

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Downstream Petroleum, Hon. Ikenga Ugochinyere, has expressed concern over the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited's (NNPCL) failure to provide the committee with adequate information on the rehabilitation, revival, and operations of Nigeria's state-owned refineries. Ugochinyere made the remarks while receiving Petroleum Engineering students from the North Central Zone. He stated that the committee had not received any briefing, documents, or relevant information from NNPCL concerning its downstream operations. He also disclosed that no substantive response or documentation had been provided by the Group Chief Executive Officer, Bashir Bayo Ojulari, or the Executive Vice President.
