A 30-year-old mud house collapsed in the Tudun Amba area of Lafia, Nasarawa State, at about 2am on Thursday, shortly after rainfall. The building housed six people from two families, and the collapse resulted in the death of a four-year-old girl and injuries to three others. An eyewitness, Kefas Abu Danjuma, the deceased girl's uncle, reported that his uncle and his children sustained minor injuries, while his brother's four-year-old daughter died. The family's two-year-old daughter was critically injured and was referred from the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Lafia, to the University of Jos Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
