The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Dr Ayo Abdulrahaman as the new Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). The appointment was announced on Friday, the same day the 2026/27 NPFL season kicked off with a headline fixture between Shooting Stars and a newly promoted team. Abdulrahaman's appointment is expected to bring fresh leadership to the league.
