Return of fuel subsidy, border reopening, other Atiku’s recent campaign promises ahead 2027

As Nigeria's 2027 presidential campaign enters its formal phase, former Vice President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has unveiled a series of policy proposals on the economy, security, border management and Nigeria's role in West Africa. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially opened the campaign window, allowing candidates to begin their campaigns. Atiku's proposals include the return of fuel subsidy and border reopening.
