President Bola Tinubu has expressed condolences to the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), its affiliate unions, and the legal profession over the death of the Congress' General Secretary, Comrade Emmanuel Ugboaja. Tinubu described Ugboaja as a strong voice for the workers' movement whose contributions to constructive engagement with government and employers would be remembered. He said the late labour leader devoted his professional life to advancing the rights, welfare, and dignity of workers, bringing a rare combination of legal knowledge, strategic insight, administrative competence, and commitment to justice.
