Bandits attacked travellers on the Gusau-Funtua highway near Tsafe town in Zamfara State on Friday, blocking the road and abducting passengers. A commuter who escaped reported that the bandits targeted a Sharon Toyota vehicle and a petroleum tanker. The attack caused panic and sporadic shooting, and the number of abducted persons remains unknown.
