Youths in the Agip/Ada George area of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State, protested the alleged killing of Anthony Obodo, a University of Port Harcourt graduate, by police. According to residents, police shot Obodo while he was waiting for his National Youth Service Corps call-up letter, and three others in his vehicle were injured. Sources said Obodo was using his car for transport services to save money for his NYSC programme. The police allegedly demanded money from him, and when he said he had none, they shot him.
