The Vice Chairman of Geidam Local Government Area in Yobe State, Abubakar Muhammad Nur, has alleged that soldiers assaulted him while he was on official duty. Nur told The PUNCH Online that the soldiers beat him and others after an encounter with terrorists. The incident occurred on Friday in Geidam town. The military has not yet responded to the allegations.
