The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has urged increased investment in locally developed technologies to reduce Nigeria's reliance on foreign software and enhance its digital sovereignty. The call was made by the Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC, Dr Aminu Maida, during the closing ceremony of the fourth NCC Hackathon Live Show in Abuja. The event highlighted the importance of fostering local innovation in the tech sector.
