The Ogun State Government has assured former councillors who served across the 20 local government areas between 2021 and 2024 that their outstanding severance entitlements will be paid. Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ganiyu Hamzat, gave this assurance in a telephone interview on Thursday. According to Hamzat, the state government is committed to fulfilling its financial obligations to the former councillors.
