Islamic Cleric Faults Claim 500 Northern Scholars Endorsed Tinubu

Sheikh Abdurrahman Abubakar Azzamfari has disputed claims that over 500 northern scholars endorsed President Bola Tinubu for re-election in 2027 at a Muslim Intellectual Forum meeting in Dutse, Jigawa State. In a video message, he said the endorsement was neither discussed nor agreed upon by the attendees. He also rejected reports of '100 per cent' support for the President, stating that scholars should first present their concerns to the government before any political support is considered.
