Ahead of the opposition summit convened by the G100 in Abuja, presidential candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Donald Duke, has called for unity among opposition parties, warning that division could hinder their chances in the 2027 general elections. Duke, a former governor of Cross River State, described President Bola Tinubu as a formidable opponent and noted the advantage of incumbency for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Meanwhile, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) confirmed participation, while the Labour Party declined, citing an existing coalition with the Nigeria Labour Congress.
