NPFL: Lagos trio hopeful despite single-venue dilemma

The 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League season has commenced, featuring 20 clubs in a nine-month campaign. The league has been rebranded and commercialized, with the season opener held in Ibadan between 3SC and Inter Lagos. However, the three Lagos-based clubs—Ikorodu City, Inter Lagos, and Sporting Lagos—face a logistical challenge as the league has approved only one venue, the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, for matches in Lagos. This single-venue constraint poses a significant hurdle for the clubs' preparations and home games.
