The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo (UNIMED), has declared an indefinite strike. The union accuses the Ondo State Government and university administration of failing to implement the 2025 Federal Government-ASUU agreement and pay arrears owed since January 1, 2026. The decision followed an emergency congress meeting on August 27, after a 14-day ultimatum expired without resolution.
