Zaenab Olawunmi Adams, a Nigerian lawyer, has publicly demanded an explanation from MTN Nigeria regarding the rapid depletion of her 800GB annual data plan. In an email shared on X, she stated that she purchased the ₦125,000 plan on May 15, 2026, but by August 27, her data balance had fallen to 91.45GB. MTN's records indicate that approximately 708.55GB was consumed within 104 days, which Adams finds implausible given her usage habits. She has been a subscriber since age 10 and asserts she is not a heavy data user, nor does she use multiple devices or game on the line.
