The 2026 Enugu City International Marathon concluded with Kenyan and Ethiopian athletes taking the top honors. Kenya's Edwin Kipyogo won the men's 42-kilometre race in 2 hours, 23 minutes and 38 seconds, while Ethiopia's Zennebe Aberu won the women's race in 2 hours, 48 minutes and 40 seconds. The event featured participants from Nigeria and other African countries, with races starting at Mgbemena and ending at Michael Okpara Square. Prize money of $15,000, $10,000, and $5,000 was awarded to the top three finishers in each category.
