The OK Movement, a platform supporting the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, has ruled out any merger ahead of the 2027 general elections. The group, which includes supporters from the Obidient Movement, Kwankwasiyya, and the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP), also rejected the rumoured plot to remove its Director-General and founder, Mr John Ughulu. In a communiqué issued in Abuja and signed by the Convener, Mr Ladipo Johnson, and National Secretary, Sadaatu Sani, the group insisted that its grassroots structure is built around Ughulu's leadership. It resolved to remain an independent organisation while remaining willing to work with other groups with similar objectives, stating that externally imposed consolidation could disrupt ongoing programmes and undermine its identity.
