Tottenham suffered a second consecutive Premier League defeat as Newcastle secured a 2-0 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa scored the goals for Newcastle, who were managed by Matthias Jaissle in his first Premier League win. Tottenham, managed by Roberto De Zerbi, have now lost both of their opening matches, following a 3-0 defeat to Brentford. The result adds to the pressure on De Zerbi, who spent over £300 million in the close-season.
