The Plateau State Police Command has recovered sophisticated weapons, including a General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) and AK-47 rifles, from suspected bandits during an intelligence-led operation in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area. The operation, carried out by a team of Mobile Policemen in a bush around Kafi Abu community, occurred on Friday. The suspects fled into the forest upon sighting the operatives. Police Public Relations Officer SP Alfred Alabo confirmed the recovery in a statement on Saturday.
