The Kano Emirate Council held its first-ever Maulud durbar to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II led the historic procession, which started from the palace and moved through key streets before returning. The emirate announced that the Maulud durbar will now be observed annually on an agreed date, marking a new tradition for Kano.
