Northern Nigeria has recorded a rise of 185,502 cases of child malnutrition in 2025, according to reports from Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). The organization attributes the deepening crisis to ongoing conflict and funding cuts, which have exacerbated food insecurity and limited access to healthcare in the region.
