Godspower Okoro is a multidisciplinary artist from Imo State, Nigeria, who has centered his visual practice on storytelling since 2011. He draws from Igbo myths, rituals, and inherited memories, translating them across painting, mixed media, and installation. His experiences in Lagos and Aberdeen, Scotland, have expanded his cultural vocabulary, allowing him to incorporate Scottish legends like the Stoor Worm alongside Igbo concepts such as Iyi-ụwa and Yoruba Abiku. His work uses symbolism as a repository of collective memory and a language for healing, resistance, and identity.
